1. Who We Are

Morel Flourish (“Flourish,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a wellness application operated by Morel, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Morel Flourish application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect basic information such as your email address and display name. We do not require your real name.

Health and Fitness Data: With your authorization, we collect data from connected fitness platforms (such as Garmin, and other integrations as they become available), which may include:

• Daily steps and activity metrics
• Heart rate and heart rate variability
• Stress levels and body battery
• Sleep duration and sleep stage data
• Workout activities, duration, and performance metrics
• Other health and wellness data made available through connected platforms

Nutrition Data: We collect information you provide about your meals, including:

• Meal photographs
• Macronutrient and calorie information
• Restaurant or meal source identifiers
• Meal goals and planning preferences

Workout Plans and Goals: We collect information about your fitness goals, workout plans, and progress that you create or configure within the app.

Device and Usage Data: We collect standard technical information such as device type, operating system version, and general app usage patterns to maintain and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, personalize, and improve the Morel Flourish experience, including:

• Displaying your health, fitness, and nutrition data within the app
• Generating personalized workout plans, meal suggestions, and wellness insights
• Identifying meals from photographs and retrieving nutritional information
• Tracking your progress toward goals over time
• Improving our service and developing new features

4. AI and Third-Party Processing

Morel Flourish uses artificial intelligence services to power core features such as meal identification from photos, nutritional analysis, and personalized recommendations. To provide these features, certain data — including meal photographs, macronutrient information, and activity data — may be sent to third-party AI service providers (currently Google; additional providers may be added over time) for processing.

We select AI providers whose API terms do not permit the use of your data for model training. However, data handling practices vary by provider, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies. We will maintain a current list of active AI providers within the app settings.

5. Anonymous Meal Database

Morel Flourish maintains a shared, anonymous database of meal and restaurant nutrition information to improve the experience for all users. If you log a meal at a restaurant, anonymized data — such as the meal photo, macronutrient information, and restaurant name — may be contributed to this shared database.

This data is stripped of personally identifiable information before inclusion. You may opt out of contributing to the shared meal database at any time in your app settings. Opting out does not affect your ability to benefit from the shared database or use any other features.

6. Data Storage and Cross-Device Sync

By default, your data is stored locally on your device. If you enable cross-device sync, your data will be stored on our cloud servers to make it accessible across your devices. You can enable or disable cloud sync at any time in your app settings. Disabling cloud sync will remove your data from our servers, and your data will remain available locally on your device.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share your data only in the following circumstances:

• With AI service providers as described in Section 4
• To contribute anonymized data to the shared meal database as described in Section 5 (unless you opt out)
• With cloud infrastructure providers if you enable cross-device sync
• As required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized data that has already been contributed to the shared meal database is not deleted upon account deletion, as it cannot be traced back to you.

9. Your Rights

• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
• You may opt out of the anonymous meal database at any time.
• You may disable cross-device sync and remove cloud-stored data at any time.
• You may disconnect any fitness platform integration at any time through your app settings.
• You may delete your account entirely, which will trigger deletion of all associated personal data.

10. Health Disclaimer

Morel Flourish provides general wellness information, including workout plans, meal tracking, and fitness insights. This information is not intended as medical advice, dietary counseling, or a substitute for professional healthcare. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new exercise or nutrition program, particularly if you have existing health conditions.

11. Children's Privacy

Morel Flourish is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete that data promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of Morel Flourish after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
